Meet Shanetta Oliver

Hi, I’m Shanetta — founder of SO Smart Tutoring, educator, mom, and lifelong learner. With over 15 years of teaching experience in public, private, and charter schools, I’ve worked with hundreds of students to strengthen their literacy skills and spark their love of learning. I hold a Bachelor’s in Psychology, a Master’s in Education, and advanced training in structured literacy, including Orton-Gillingham and Wilson Reading System certification.

My Mission

I believe every child deserves the chance to feel capable and confident as a reader and writer. Too many bright students fall behind because they haven’t been given the right tools. That’s why I built SO Smart Tutoring — to provide families with accessible, research-based instruction that’s also engaging and motivating.
